We Need Bees and Bees Need Weeds
Bees play a vital role in pollinating our ecosystem and supporting 30% of the global food supply. While saving the bees may feel out of our control, we wanted to show local communities that making an impact can be as simple as fostering biodiversity—by letting nature take its course in your own yard.
In a world that prioritizes pristine, manicured lawns over natural vegetation, Team One tapped into cannabis culture to cultivate a grassroots movement: Legalize Weeds—a campaign to save the bees.
In partnership with Bee Mindful, an Austin-based organization dedicated to educating and supporting the local bee population, Team One creatives put their pollinated heads together to develop a line of wildflower seed tins, posters, yard signs, and a social media campaign to educate and inspire action….through inaction.
Sometimes, raising a few eyebrows is the best way to raise awareness, and Team One never misses an opportunity to generate some buzz. As unconventional as it may seem, you too can help protect native bee populations—just by letting weeds grow.
