a look around the Team One office

As the legend goes, Team One began as a top-secret organization made up of the most brilliant minds in the universe. In addition to advertising, there were departments for aeronautics, mathematics—even a pastry school. But as with most legends, this story is a complete fabrication.

 

The truth is, Team One was conceived by the Saatchi & Saatchi network almost 25 years ago to launch the Lexus brand. And so, the chosen ones moved to El Segundo—minutes from the beach, LAX, the Chevron oil refinery and some kind of top-secret military facility.

 

We set up shop in the same unpretentious building we occupy today with just eight people, a singular room and a sticky note on the door that read “Team One.” But from that small space came a lot of big ideas. Ideas that not only launched Lexus from obscurity to notoriety, but established it as a leader in the automotive industry.

 

Today, we continue to handle the Lexus account, elevating its status with every new model launch. But along the way, we’ve helped a range of important clients effectively launch—and relaunch—their brands. Clients like Boost Mobile, Flexjet, Belkin, Air New Zealand, Häagen-Dazs and The Ritz-Carlton.

 

Oh, and that small room we started in? You’ll find it on one of the 3 1/2 floors we now occupy, where we offer everything from superlative media placement to public relations to traditional advertising—not to mention an ever-expanding digital division that brought the first Lexus website to the world in 1996—way back when Hotmail was still cool.

 

And with four field offices covering the country and an entire team dedicated to social media, it’s clear Team One is a true full-service agency.
